All emergencies are seen on the same day.

Home Visits

These are for people unable to get to the surgery for medical reasons (lack of transport is not a valid reason for a home visit).

If you need a non-urgent visit please try to contact the surgery before 9.15 am.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Missed Appointments

Patients who don't attend their appointment, or who cancel too late for us to offer the appointment to somebody else,  cause significant amounts of lost clinical time each month, and affect the availablity of appointments for everyone else.

For example:

November 2011 Appointments with Doctors missed: 44 =  7 hours of appointment time lost.

November 2011 Appointments with Nurses missed:  78   =  13 hours of appointment time lost.

Please notify the surgery in good time if you are unable to keep your appointment so that it can be offered to somebody else!
