Who can help me?

Our practice has a number of highly skilled health professionals who are able to help with different problems.  You can read the below for further advice on who would be the best person to help with your concern.

GPs

Our Doctors are able to deal with most medical issues, however they may refer you to a different doctor in the practice or another member of the team who is more appropriate to help you.

Extended Hours appointments: These are pre-bookable, non-urgent evening and weekend appointments. Find out more about Extended Hours appointments by clicking here.

We will always assess anyone who needs to be seen on the same day for medical reasons.

Social Prescribers

Cath and Jeanette are the Social Prescribing Link Workers for our area.

Social Prescribing is about enabling people in the community to become more involved in community life, empowering them to improve their health and wellbeing.

At the heart of what they do is a person-centered approach.  Each individual person and their circumstances are the focus of discussions, and each person’s personal choices take priority.

They can discuss how your health and wellbeing could benefit from you getting more involved in your community and what there is on offer.  Often it can be hard to start something new.  The friendly support they offer can help you to get in contact with groups, services and organisations, and get started with them.

They can help you to sort out any problems or worries such as isolation, health and lifestyle changes, carer support, debt, and low-level mental health issues.  They will promote the community for the community to make sure you have a good experience that helps you to feel better.

Speak to our reception team, or one of our healthcare professionals, to book your appointment.

Chaplaincy services are there to help you in times of crises and ill-health.  They care for you, walk alongside you, share your burden and can help to ease emotional pain.

Our volunteer Chaplains can help people of any faith and those without a faith.  They work in a non-denominational manner and will be happy to assist you with whatever your spiritual needs, difficulties or questions may be,
