COVID Vaccination Scams

Unfortunately a lot of criminals are using the COVID pandemic to steal money or identity details from patients.

Please note, the NHS will never ask for bank details, credit card details or charge a fee for a COVID vaccination.

We are currently only inviting patients for their vaccinations by phone. In time we will hopefully start inviting by text or email, but these will be from an address which ends “@nhs.net” or our usual mobile account.

The NHS centrally is now inviting patients by letter and phone. Again, the letter will direct you to a “.gov.uk” website or “nhs.uk” website. Those letters should be directly before the first single “/” symbol: eg “www.nhs.uk/bookcovidvaccination” and NOT “www.scam.uk/www.nhs.uk/giveusyourdetails”

You can keep track of scam advice on the NHS website:
