Clinical Staff Changes

The practice will be having some changes within its clinical team over the next couple of months.

Sadly we will be saying goodbye to three doctors before the end of the year.

Dr Maiella Apudo who has been at the practice 7 years is leaving on the 9th November as she takes up a job nearer to “home” at a practice in Rutland.

Dr Mark Protheroe is retiring from the partnership on the 10th December after nearly 25 years at Nettleham and Dr Donna Scott is also retiring from general practice at the end of December.

All three will be a huge loss to the practice but we wish them all well in their next chapters of their lives.

Now the good news is that Dr Brian Okafor is going to be joining the partnership having been a Salaried GP at the practice for the last 2 years.  Dr Rowena Goalby will be joining as a 6 session Salaried GP hopefully in November. Dr Olawunmi Akinla will be starting at the practice on 10th January 2022 as a 6 session Salaried GP and Alysia Peacock will be joining the practice on 17th January 2022 as a Physician Associate. Sarah Crook also joined the practice team in October 2021 as a full time Clinical Pharmacist. This is all very exciting news and the practice is extremely fortunate to have successfully recruited new clinicians during this difficult time. We welcome them all to the team.
