CQC Report

We acknowledge the publication today of our latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) report. Our CQC inspection took place back in September 2023. We are pleased that the inspection team recognise that we have a constant programme of improvement in the practice and had already made changes to our systems. Unfortunately they felt it was too soon to judge the effects of the changes we’ve already made. Since the inspection we have taken on board the findings of the CQC and have made further changes to our internal processes. We feel that the report published today no longer reflects our current position and we are working closely with the CQC to be reinspected as soon as possible.

We are pleased however that the CQC found us to be a caring, responsive, and effective medical practice. They acknowledged that we have a capable leadership team in the practice as well as a passionate and committed Patient Participation Group. We are proud that they highlighted that our staff treat our patients with kindness and respect. Furthermore, we are grateful for all our patients who take part in clinic research trials as this was noted as a strong feature of the surgery’s work.
