Repeat Prescriptions

If you need regular (repeat) medication you will be given a repeat prescription slip. You can request your repeat medication by:

• Dropping your repeat prescription slip in at the surgery
• Ringing our 24/7 answerphone with the details: (01522) 754649
• Online by clicking here (you must have an existing account)

Prescriptions are normally available 48 hours after request (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).

Reviews

If you are on repeat medication we review your records annually to assess what appointments you may need for us to safely continue your medication. You will then be contacted to arrange these tests or appointments, including letting you know which members of staff you need to see and how long the appointment needs to be.  You may not need any tests or appointments, for example if you are being followed in hospital appointments and in this case we will not contact you and you don’t need to take further action. If you do not respond to our requests to arrange tests or appointments we may have to limit the amount of medication we issue, or in rare cases stop the medication (for medication which may be unsafe if not monitored).

Dispensing

We are a dispensing practice and are able to dispense medication for all patients who live more than a mile from a chemist. Unfortunately, we are prevented by law from dispensing medication to patients who live within a mile of a chemist.
